Prior to creating or updating users in bulk on CompliLearn you will need to prepare a CSV file that includes the following details:
This is the unique identifier in the portal. If an email address does not already exist in the portal, a new account will be created. Note: if you are using Single Sign On you must obtain your email addresses from your Active Directory. |

First Name | The first name of a learner. We recommend avoiding initials to assist in reporting. |
Last Name | The last name of a learner. |
Status | In the bulk upload the status is indicated by: 1 = Active 0 = Inactive/Blocked |
Roles | All staff should be listed as “Learner”. Additional roles (Content Administrator, Manager) should be separated with a vertical line with no spaces on either side of the line (i.e. Learner|Manager ). Roles are case sensitive. |
Manager | If assigning manager(s) in the bulk upload file: Ensure the manager has the correct Role. Use the manager's email address. Separate multiple managers with a vertical line (e.g. manager1@organisation.com.au|manager2@organisation.com.au) |
Groups | If assigning group(s) in the bulk upload file: Use the Group ID. Separate multiple groups with a vertical line with no spaces on either side of the line (e.g. 12345|789654) |
Accreditation Number | This is a custom field. Information can also be populated after a user is created if needed. |
Please note: headings are case sensitive and must be in the order shown in the CSV file picture below.
