The following error may appear on your login screen if your Auth0 "Client Secret" has expired. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to follow if you come across the below error message: "failed to get auth0 token because it is not authenticated".
How to Troubleshoot Auth0 Error Message
Your internal IT Support Contact will need to generate a new Client Secret in their Azure Active Directory, therefore you will need to ask your internal IT Support Contact to complete the following steps prior to contacting Ideagen CompliSpace for support.
Once your IT Support Contact has completed the following steps you will need to retrieve the Client Secret Value from them and share this value with the CompliSpace Service Desk.
Instructions for your IT Support Contact on How to Generate a Client Secret in Azure AD
1. Log in to https://portal.azure.com as an admin user
2. Select the Portal Menu button in the top left
3. Click Azure Active Directory in the left-hand menu
4. Select Certificates & secrets in the left-hand menu
5. Select New client secret
10. Configure the secret with the following values then click Add:
a) Description: Auth0 Secret
b) Expires: Expiry – set to your organisation's preference but we suggest 24 months for less maintenance
11. Once the secret has been generated, copy the Value by clicking the Copy to clipboard button
12. Share this new Client Secret value with the staff member who requested it, so they are able to pass this information on to the Ideagen CompliSpace Service Desk. The Ideagen CompliSpace Service Desk will then update this information on Auth0.
