What Happens When I Run a Report in Assurance
When you run your report in Assurance, it goes into a queue. There is no way to guarantee any user's place in the queue.
How Long Does It Take to Run a Report in Assurance
The vast majority of reports are processed more or less instantly (and there is some concurrency).
Why Is My Report Taking So Long to Run in Assurance
You report may be taking longer to run due to one (or both) of two things:
- A complex report (for example, one with lots of dependent, nested or calculated fields)
- A large report (one that has lots of responses to it, and/or lots of fields generally)
Important note: Clicking the Export button multiple times may cause further delays as this will just cause the report to restart the process of gathering the data for the report.
How Can I Run a Large Report in Assurance
We strongly recommend that you apply at least some filters to avoid the inclusion of unnecessary data and to speed up the process of generating a report. To learn more about applying field filters, please refer to our Support Hub article on How to Add Custom Fields to an Assurance Report.
We also encourage users with huge and/or complex reports to run them via the API snapshot routine. It is generally faster, and users can automate it with business intelligence tools like PowerBI. To learn more about using the Assurance API to generate reports, please refer to our Support Hub article on How to Generate Large API Reports in Assurance and How to Automate API Reports in Assurance.
