An excursion in PlanCheckGo can be moved to the 'Archived' section from the 'Home' section if it won't be going ahead and is no longer required.
The terminology used in the system is 'Cancel' and 'Decline' and both of these actions performed at certain stages in the proposal will move the excursion into 'Archived'.
A draft excursion cannot be deleted. Once it is saved it will remain in the 'Home' section. A draft will need to be progressed to the 'proposed' stage (submitted for pre-approval) before it can be declined.
To decline an excursion
An excursion can be declined (red button) once it has progressed to the 'proposed' stage. Only the pre-approver can decline the excursion.
To cancel an excursion
An excursion can be cancelled (red button) even if it has already been pre-approved. It can be cancelled by a teacher or administrator.
Pre-departure stage. Cancelling or Declining an excursion
In the pre-departure stage, the proposal can be either declined at this point when submitted for final approval, or, if it has already had final approval this approval can be undone (see Undo Approval below) and this will revert back to the pre-approved status with a cancel excursion button available.
