What's New?

New Field for Supervision Ratios

A number of schools wish to add additional information to support the planning and approval of excursions - they may, for example, have local requirements or policies stipulating a specific gender-appropriate supervision ratios, or a ratio of licensed teachers to volunteers.

A new free-text field has been added under the Calculated Staff to Student Supervision Ratio field for these purposes. This new field is optional and can be used as required by different schools.

Updated People or Providers Responsible Field

Each risk selection in STB has an optional free-text field previously named "Person Responsible".

School feedback has indicated that the wording of this field did not represent the reality that sometimes multiple people may be responsible for each area.

Additionally, multiple schools have requested the ability to draft risk assessments with information on planned external providers where due diligence documentation checks might be in progress. The Approved Providers field is automatically populated with providers who have completed all due diligence.

We have updated the "Person Responsible" field to read "People or Providers Responsible" to allow for greater flexibility in the information you enter in this field. It remains a requirement and mandated in the Excursion Checklists that full due diligence has been or will be completed for all providers prior to the excursion taking place.

Bug Fixes

We have resolved the following two issues in this releases:

• Resolved an issue where schools using SafeTripBuilder integrated with Sentral were experiencing issues with the ability to launch STB directly from Sentral.
• Resolved an issue where administrators would be logged-out of STB when trying to edit users who had been created in another site (cross-client users) - an issue which may occur for multi-tenant enterprise customers. Note that users can only be edited in the client site in which they were initially created. Rather than being logged-out, administrators will now see a descriptive error message - "You are not able to edit users who have been created in a different SafeTripBuilder site. Please contact our support team if you believe you should be able to edit this user" - and will remain logged-in to STB
