If your organisation does not use Single Sign-On, you will need to set your staff up with access to the User Directory. This allows staff to authenticate through to SafeTripBuilder or PlanCheckGo.

Adding a New User to the User Directory

Assigning Access Permissions to a User Account
1. From the user directory homepage, locate your user, and then click on the icon next to their name in the Actions
column of the table.
2. Click on the icon in the ‘Groups’ bar.
3. This will open a pop-up window containing a drop-down list of the different user permission levels available for you to assign to the user.
4. Select the permission groups you would like to assign to your user. The different SafeTripBuilder permission levels available to you are as follows:
- administrator - This permission level allows an account to add/edit users within your user directory and assign permission levels to them. This permission level by itself does not allow access to your SafeTripBuilder or PlanCheckGo site, you must also assign the user safetripbuilder_approvers privileges.
- safetripbuilder_approvers - This permission level allows a user access to see approval level features of the PlanCheckGo and SafeTripBuilder site. If adding a user to this group, do not add the user to the safetripbuilder_users group as well.
- safetripbuilder_users - This permission level is what is assigned to those who only need to create excursions or risk assessments in your PlanCheckGo or SafeTripBuilder site. It does not permit them to make any changes to the site. If adding a user to this group, do not add the user to the safetripbuilder_approvers group as well.
5. Once you have selected the correct permissions for your user, click the Add
button to assign them to the account. After permissions have been assigned, your user will be able to login to the PlanCheckGo or SafeTripBuilder site.
