Child pages can be added to your custom modules (also known as UGC modules), allowing as many as six sub-heading levels.
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add a child page to a custom module.
To Add a Child Page to a Custom Module
1. Click the Eye icon to enter administrator view
2. Click the Slider in the top menu to enter Draft Mode. The slider will turn teal when Draft Mode has been enabled.
3. Locate your user generated module in the left-hand navigation menu
4. Click the name of the UGC module and this will display the first page which is called the Executive Summary page by default. Note: this Executive Summary page is a heading level 1 and it is not possible to create more than one level 1 heading.
4. To add a level 2 heading beneath this page, click the +
icon next to the page title. It is possible to create multiple level 2 headings.
New child pages will be named according to the time and date the page was created, following the format Page: YYYY/MM/DD 00:00:00
.
Adding child pages beneath your newly created page is performed in the same way as adding a child page to the level one heading. Simply click the +
icon next to the page.
Please Note: it is not possible to create child pages past heading level 6.
To create multiple headings of the same type, we simply need to perform the previous steps on the heading above our current page. In this example, we will add an additional level 3 heading beneath our level 2 heading.
To do this, we need to navigate back to the previous page (in this case, our previous page is titled Page: 2024-03-08 11:48:40
) and click on the +
icon again.
As you can see below, we now have two level 2 headings beneath our level 2 heading.
5. When you have finished editing your pages, remember to publish your changes to make your additions visible to general users.
